I am an accomplished Soccer player and NATURAL bodybuilder. I have played just about every sport on a competitive level. I played for the Cayman Islands National Soccer team for 7 years and played varsity soccer for the University of West Florida for 2 years. I have won 11 bodybuilding titles and shows, including overall titles at 2002 MuscleMania Florida and 2002 NGA United States National Bodybuilding Championships. Married and the father of a 7 year old and 4year old. Received my BS in Marketing from Florida State University and I am AFTA certified.
I have been working out for the past 22 years, personal training for the past 16 years, and competed for 8 years. Having worked out for over 20 years, I have seen many things come and go in the fitness industry. However, one thing that has not changed is the search for quality information and guidance when it comes to working out, losing weight, and/or building muscle. For years I have had people coming up to me asking various questions on losing weight, eating, and how to gain muscle. In 2001 I decided to make plans to leave the corporate setting, completely enter the fitness industry and open my own facility. One where you can rest assured that you will be treated like family and will be given value for your time and money. We effectively help people reach their goals in a fun, light, cleanly, stress free environment. Precision Personal Training was opened in 2003…which is TEN years of helping families reach their goals. Ten years of seeing people achieve goals they themselves didn’t think they could. If you are serious about finally reaching your goals. Come to the BEST! Your search is over.
I have been involved in athletics and exercise for the majority of my life. I grew up playing every sport imaginable. I went on to play college football at Mount Union College in Ohio where I was fortunate enough to be a part of 2 National Championship teams as a defensive back. In college I was also able to apply my passion for fitness and sports performance by receiving my B.S. in Exercise Science.
I began personal training in 2004 in college and fell in love with it. After returning home from college I decided to further my knowledge by becoming an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. With my other passion being emergency medicine, I also became an Emergency Medical Technician and look forward to furthering my career in that area as well.
I enjoy the opportunity that training gives me, by allowing me to take my love and passion for exercise and share it with others. I also love the one on one relationship I get to make with so many interesting people. I have worked with people from all training backgrounds and abilities; from highly trained athletes looking to improve their performance, to kids and Grandparents trying to improve their overall fitness levels. As a trainer, my ultimate goal is to improve your overall quality of life by helping you achieve your health and fitness goals. As your trainer I will do everything I can to help you reach those goals and help you have fun doing it!
I have been athletic throughout my entire life, participating in gymnastics and track during my early years in school. I fell in love with weight training during my career in the army where I served as a Master Fitness Drill Instructor. The discipline and diligence that I applied during those years in the military I still use today.
As a 40 year old, divorced mother of three young boys ages 17, 12 and 10, my health and wellness are a vital part of my life. I am a CPR/NSCA certified personal trainer. I specialize in boot camps & kids fitness classes as well as personal training sessions that incorporate strengthening and toning, cardiovascular endurance and muscle building.
My goal is to help my clients to obtain their optimum level of fitness and to have fun doing it. I believe that overall fitness, health and wellness have to come from a lifestyle change that incorporates proper diet and nutrition as well as a regular exercise regimen. I aim to provide fun, challenging and diverse sessions to maintain my own balanced state of wellness and to help clients achieve theirs.
My Journey began many years ago when I was only 12 years old and I was getting ready for “Field day” at school. This was an event in which 5th and 6th graders at the school competed in various track and field Activities as well as team building events. Everyone was given new T-shirts for the occasion and we were told to go to the restrooms in groups of three to change. As we were changing the other two boys I went with started laughing at how skinny I was (you could literally count every bone in my body I was a very slim kid). Until this day, I can remember how shameful it felt to be laughed at because of my physical appearance and my self-esteem hit rock bottom. I can definitely identify with those who hurt emotionally because of what they look like on the outside. Many will say “what matters is what you look like on the inside” however most people you meet will not be around long enough to know who you really are and will judge you by what they see in front of them. That day I resolved that I would never be laughed at again and made fitness my life. I was only 12 y/o. In retrospect this memory is probably the most important reason why I have such a passion for helping others. Those boys were supposed to be my friends yet they made me feel like such an outcast…like I just didn’t fit in and I don’t want anybody to ever have to feel that way. It wasn’t until much later that I would learn the importance of fitness and health since I have a family history of Diabetes and Cancer on both sides of my family. I decided I had to make health, nutrition and fitness a way of life.
I graduated from FIU with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science in 2004 and became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. American Council on Exercise® (ACE ®) is a nonprofit organization committed to America’s health and wellbeing. Over the past 25 years, they have become an established resource for both fitness professionals and consumers, providing comprehensive, unbiased, scientific research impacting the fitness industry and validating themselves as the country’s trusted authority on fitness.
After Graduating I worked for Hardball Baseball (a local South Miami Sports training Center) for 6 months when I was promoted as Director of the Strength and Conditioning program. It was there where I learned to train large groups as local baseball, football, and swimming high school teams came in to train and enhance their skills. I have since specialized in weight loss training. I am very dedicated to health and fitness and I always seek new avenues in which to expand my fitness knowledge and offer more to you as a client. It gives me great satisfaction to see an individual reach their goals and improve their quality of life.
I have been in the fitness industry for over six years as a certified personal trainer (A.C.E., CPT). My passion for fitness started as a teenager when I played multiple sports, among them baseball and wrestling. Through my college years, while pursuing a degree in Economics, I focused more on Martial Arts, especially Muay-Thai, which was a relatively new sport. Later I spent two years in Toulouse, France –working in the Alliance Francaise, learning the language and enjoying the new experience of living in a foreign country.
After returning to Miami, I decided to pursue my career in the fitness industry. I enjoy working with clients from different backgrounds and different goals. I am currently pursuing a certification as a Clinical Exercise Specialist, through the American Council on Exercise. In the near future, I am planning to get my degree in Physical Therapy and continue making a positive difference in people’s lives. I firmly believe that through hard work, dedication and motivation, everyone has the ability to accomplish their goals and my job is to help you get there! I would love to help you with your fitness goals. Hope to see you soon!
I am currently a student at Florida International University, pursuing to become a licensed Registered Dietician by 2014. Because I have an intense passion for fitness and an overall healthy lifestyle, I truly enjoy showing clients how to unlock their full potential. As food is a stumbling block with most, I will share my knowledge and help you experience the joys of achieving your goals. For many years I have vigorously studied the human body, nutrition, and muscle strengthening exercises, advising all my peers to do the same. I help all my clients with healthy cooking tips, and suggestions. I will challenge you with a variety of toning, fat blasting and cardio based exercises. I will leave you out of breath and your results will keep you or your child motivated!
I have been involved in athletics for all my life, dating back to when I was ten playing Pop Warner football. I went on to play high school football (Miami Southridge) and to a full athletic scholarship at the University of Florida. At UF I earned a B.S. in Recreation, Park and Tourism. I was also a Three-year letterman and started my senior year at cornerback on an SEC and BCS National Championship Team in 2006.
I began personal training and sports specific training about 5 years ago working with high school athletes in developing the little things they needed to improve on before going into the next level. Developing these students I realized that this was my calling, and what I really enjoyed doing.
My goal as a trainer is to get all of my clients to achieve all of their health and fitness goals, and to make sure that if and when they leave me, they have all the knowledge and motivation to maintain, if not exceed, the goal they have reached.
My devotion and preparation as a personal trainer stems from my athletic upbringing and my career in track and field. Through my college career as an athlete I was highly recruited for my fitness and speed but also the tenacity to inspire maximum effort from the team. Individually, I believe each person has his or her own goal or threshold because truthfully we are all different.
As your personal trainer, I believe in setting realistic goals with the emphasis on achieving. Not failure. Each person has an objective and I will not quit, nor allow you to quit while simultaneously motivating you to reach our target. Weight loss has a stigma for being boring and difficult, but I truly believe fitness can be fun and spirited, generating a greater triumph.
None of my parameters that I have set forth is a quick fix but more of a stepping stool for living a healthier life. My format is not to reinvent the wheel but to simplify lifestyle changes guided with proper education, technique and rewards. Once we strip away our fears of failure and start believing in the purpose and goals, the rest will lead to a better lifestyle. Regardless of what your goals are or how long of a training regiment you will choose, I Wayne Brown will always take full advantage of the time provided, to give you my absolute best!
